Employees in this classification are given close supervision, mentoring, and training. This classification includes only temporary positions. Students receive on-the-job training and work experience designed to prepare them for entry-level positions in County Service. Special Student Assistant is a sub-entry level class designed to provide a learning-working experience to high schools students who intend to immediately enter the workforce upon graduation. Under close supervision, learns to perform a wide variety of routine, skilled, semi-skilled and/or basic clerical tasks involving the care, maintenance, repair and service of County properties and operations.
